May you be feeling a spring in your step regarding the joy of our game and the great level of rugby played. Last Saturday our U10’s and U12’s played valiantly in San Roque. Our hosts were very welcoming and there is genuine delight when Gibraltar Rugby players take part.
There was a lovely write up in the local press, hot off the end of the last game!

Gibraltar Rugby Year 4’s
1st match Vs Real Ciecias saw the team show great structure and organisation. Gib played fast and direct, scoring 3 tries in quick succesion. Ciencias came back with 2 tries through their fast runners but Gib sealed the 4-2 win by capitalising on the opponents mistakes.
2nd match Vs San Roque saw the Gib team dig deep as the San Roque wingers were lightning fast, and they initially used their speed to score 2 quick tries. Gib regrouped to regain their composure and soon came level with some strong tries. Both teams were closely matched with San Roque using their speed to great effect, however Gib were able to defend well and through tough turnovers finished winners 5-4
Match 3 Vs Marbella saw the closest contest, with both trams evenly matched. Marbella using fast passing and width to wear the Gib defence thin, but Gib were stronger on the defence and were able to win over some critical rucks. This match finishing 3-2 to Gib in the end.
Overall the Gib team had a great day, showing resilience and team strength to win all of what was 3 very tightly contested matches
