Welcome to second instalment of the Gibraltar Rugby Weekly Breakdown – LOOKING AHEAD. Having taken a moment in to celebrate our successes last week, of which there were many, we can now look forward to more activity in the coming weeks.
Gibraltar Rugby Tuesday 9th April
This evening Gibraltar U16’s Vs Wheatley Hills U16′ Kick-Off is at 18:30.
This is followed by the Gibraltar Barbarians Vs RAF Marham Kick-Off is at 20:00.
The Bar is Open – come along, grab a drink and watch some great rugby.
Gibraltar Rugby Wednesday 10th April
Corporate Touch Rugby Challenge Cup.
The tournament starts TOMORROW. If you can register your team before then, then you can still take part. It’s a great way to get fit, mingle with like minded people and have some fun along the way.
Presently we have 10 teams registered. Are you In it to WIN it or Here for the Beer? The latter side of the tournament has kindly been sponsored by Mediterranean Computer Services Ltd.
Gibraltar Rugby Saturday 13th April
Another jam packed day at Europa Sports Park
Ceuta Rugby Club are coming to visit. From 11am we will see U6’s, U8’s, U10’s and U12’s play some friendly matches. The children love taking part and putting the skills learned in training, into practice on the field. Please bring along family and friends to support the children and welcome the visiting rugby club.

Kick off is at 13:00, why not stay on, grab some lunch from the Bar, and cheer the guys on.

Gibraltar Rugby Medal Presentation 2024
A quick glance to the following week. Saturday 20th April is 7th and final Trusted Novus Bank Youth Rugby Festival for this season. This will be celebrated with a BBQ, Awards and Medal Presentation. A celebration of the end of the Tournament as well as the end of Season awards. Via your coaches, parents / guardians and players have been asked to submit their vote for Supporters Player and Players Player – please cast you vote for whomever you deem to be the worthy winner. Please come along and celebrate the final. Register your attendance on SPOND or on Wild Apricot. This helps GRFU manage numbers and reduce any wastage. |
Gibraltar Rugby U8’s Tigers Tour in Minehead
In early May our U8’s are embarking on their Tigers Tour in Minehead. Overseas Tours are a wonderful part of any Rugby Players life. All Tours are memorable but especially the inaugural ones which this will be for many of our young members.

Gibraltar Rugby End of 2023 / 2024 Season
In May the Europa Sports Park Pitch is being pulled up and resurfaced. The Gibraltar Rugby Football Union 2023 / 2024 Season will officially end on
Gibraltar Rugby Saturday 27th April 2024
This is also the date for the infamous Water Fight – so time to dust off your armoury in preparation for some fun and games.
The new season will resume in September.
In the meantime there is lots of training, matches and fun to be had. See you on the pitch or in the Rugby Clubhouse.
