We simply have to start with our Gibraltar National Team. Who, last Friday, had their first game of the season against Wales Deaf. The two time Deaf World Champions no-less, at the historic Dunraven Brewery Field.
A fixture where we weren’t sure what to expect, led to a showcase from the Gibraltar National Team squad, cruising to a 3-59 victory! A mix of composure and flair allowed for exciting rugby from both sides but Gibraltar the one to get over the whitewash and make those opportunities count. A player of the match performance from Benn Morris with his 2 tries and 4 conversions to add as well as his steadfast work in defence at fullback.
Once again, Gibraltar has proved its worth on the international stage as we continue to fight for our rightful place in Rugby Europe and World Rugby.
Year 4, 5, 6 and 7 – Red Vs Black
Last Saturday saw the first Red Vs Black contact rugby initiative take place amongst our young Age Grade members. This is a great opportunity, running alongside our TNB Rugby Youth Festival Tag Tournament to enhance competitive contact games. The kids loved it and are already looking forward to the next one to be planned in April.
The Rugger Tots – Y7 enjoyed receiving their Easter Eggs, and were most polite in redeeming their tokens for eggs.
