Dominating the pitch at Europa morning, noon and night

Last week was jam packed with Rugby, just what we love to see. Saturday 23rd March, in particular. We started in the morning with our Y2-Y7’s taking part in the Trusted Novus Bank Youth Rugby Festival, Round 6.

The Buccaneers, Scorpions, Sharks and Stormers at the ready. Thank you to family and friends who cheered on the players. The festival feel is electric. The scores, league table and certificate winners will be shared on Social Media so please look out for them there.

The last round, Round 7, takes place on April 20th. Please confirm attendance and come up to the Bar after especially to collect your Roll. Sadly we continue to have excess number of rolls left over and we are always keen to reduce wastage. Thank you for your cooperation.

Umee GRC was also busy with back to back Round 9 games.

Results were as follows:

The Boys lost out narrowly in a hard fought game which could have gone either way but held out til the very end.

363 Gibraltar Rugby members playing rugby

By our modest calculations, we had over 360 members playing rugby at Europa Sports Park.

Were you there? Come along next time and bring some friends along. New members are always welcome.

Wellbeing Awareness Hub at the Rugby Clubhouse

In addition to all the Rugby played, we held a Wellbeing Awareness Hub at the Rugby Clubhouse. We hope you managed to spend some time with the charities and individuals who kindly visited our Clubhouse to pass on information about your wellbeing.

Thank you to all those who came and exhibited or supported the event. (MJ Nutrition and Prostate Cancer Gibraltar also in attendance). Charlie Bear took on the Rugger Tots at their obstacle course and lived to tell the tale … a big highlight to our little members.
